ご報告が遅くなりましたが、1月12日から14日まで、町田パリオにて「布博」に出店致しました。
11年前にこの町田パリオで布博がスタートした頃、私はお客さんとして楽しむ側でした。
きらめく色とりどりの布の世界にワクワクして、布が人の心を動かす力を感じました。
「布博」は私にとって、憧れのイベントでした。
だからこそ、ここでわたしの布は通用するのか？というプレッシャーも正直大きかったのですが、
3日間とも本当にたくさんの方が生地をお手に取って下さいました。
初日にはPOTTENBURN TOHKIIさんとのトークショーも行い、それぞれのブランドの「布ができるまで」、日本の布づくりを支える職人さんの存在等についてお話させて頂きました。
私（IBAMOTO HONTEN 店主・デザイナー藤岡）は「衣服やインテリアでいつも人のそばにある布を通して、人の心を明るくしたい！」と、2014年からイギリスの大学でテキスタイルデザインを学び、紆余曲折あって今に至りますが、布の道に入って10年。この節目の年に、ひとつの目標としてきたことを叶えられて嬉しく思います。
応援にいらして下さったお客さま方はもちろんのこと、主催の手紙社さん、お手伝いに来てくれた素晴らしいチームメンバーにも支えられた3日間でした。ありがとうございました。
We had a stand at "Nunohaku" ("Textile Expo" if I literally translate...) from 12th to 14th January in Tokyo.
It was one of the most popular events among fabric lovers in Japan, and therefore, there was a lot of pressure to see if our fabrics would be accepted there, but we were very honored to see that so many people picked up our fabrics during the three days of the show.
When this event started 11 years ago at this place, I was on the side of enjoying myself as a customer.
I was thrilled by the sparkling world of colorful fabrics, and felt the power of textiles to move people's hearts.
I started studying textile design at a university in Bath, England in 2014, with a dream to brighten people's hearts through textiles, which is always beside of people in clothing or interiors. Since then I’ve been in the textile world for 10 years, and I am very happy to have achieved one of my goals in this milestone year.
