IBAMOTO HONTEN is a textile label set up by Ayane Fujioka after learning hand weaving in the UK, and machine weaving in a small family-run weaving mill in Nishiwaki, Japan.
Textiles are always around us, as clothes or as interiors, and therefore we believe in the positive power they can have on our feelings. Our hope is that each product / fabric will be cherished by its owner for its beauty, physical comfort, and its honest back story.
IBAMOTO HONTEN comes from the name of a pub that Ayane's grandmother used to run when she was a little child. The name is kept alive for memories of the beloved little pub, and is reused as a name of a textile brand, which aims to deliver the same character, wonder, fun, comfort and delight to the daily lives of its customers.
